Definitely was not feeling any strength today after the flu kicked my ass, but no matter how I feel, I get in and get it DONE👊🏼 You’re not always going to feel your best, strongest, or most confident. Don’t choose not to go because of it, go in and do your best. Your goals don’t take a day off and neither should you just because your head is slightly off. Two days ago I was on my bathroom floor and feeling like shit. I woke up this morning with no excuses and 12 weeks out. Granted I felt like I lost 2 weeks of progress and my lifts were definitely lighter than my normal, but I still lifted more than people who decided to stay home. On professional organizing 🏡: There are a lot of organizing experts and groups out there that are amazing; so many ideas and inspo to take from them - organizing heaven for people like me but I find they can also, unintentionally, work adversely in motivating a lot of people to organize spaces in their homes. If we try to follow what they’re doing, we may actually get put off because: 1) it’s all too perfect looking and most importantly, TIME consuming and therefore unrealistic to re-create & maintain in our home so in most cases we say ‘ah ‘F’ it’ and leave it; 2) we don’t have the same setup and space so we think ‘that won’t work in my home’ and end result: as per 1); and 3) our home setup or space isn’t as modern, fancy, shiny so end result: 1) and 2). It doesn’t matter what your home is like. It doesn’t matter what everyone else is doing. It doesn’t matter what the experts say. You’re the expert in your home. Organise the way you feel works best for you. If that means storing your socks in your kitchen drawers - do it if it helps keep you organised and less stressed! 😂 There are no rules, you don’t need books on the subject, and although I am a follower of, and respect feng shui principles - that too can get way too much at times. 🙏 ‘Keep it simple’, ‘less is more’, ‘stick to practical’ and ‘do what feels right for you’ are my rules of thumb. You’re not going to sit there straightening jars in your pantry every hour on the hour (nor should you be paying someone to keep it in check on the weekly - this happens: truth) or checking that everything is correctly labeled with pretty stickers (unless that’s your jam) because: you have a life to live and that money is better spent on living! 🙌 Make the time when you’re not rushed; set aside a 2 hour limit and focus on one area as a start. Create a system that works for you. Tweak as you go. And move onto other areas from there. Stick to a 2 hour limit. Keep it simple. And maintain. Too easy. You best believe I will be treating myself to this tonight!!!! After starting #80dayobsession  from #beachbodyondemand  my poor body needs a little TLC. It’s been a few days since my last post, closer to a week I think. Just a little update. Still doing my 10-20 minutes on the bike or elliptical everyday as a warm up cardio. Focusing more on set days rather than full body workouts on the daily. Arm day, leg day, chest and back day, body weight day, and a Full body workout day. Did arms today, ending with some pull ups (shirtless for the sake of progress comparison). I’ve been experimenting around and trying to come up with protein shake recipes after every workout. So far cookies and cream protein, frozen blueberries, banana, peanut butter powder, ice and water is my favorite! Sub without the banana is equally as good, just not as much of a smoothie texture. Decided to try on my starting pants for the first time since last January, and the amount of room that was there while I was already wearing jeans was mind blowing. A lot of my friends have been asking me about weight loss and trying to get into the gym lately. It all comes down to doing a little more and eating a little less. You absolutely can not out train a bad diet. Just be active throughout the day. Set a 10K step goal, aim to reach it everyday. Focus more on fruits and vegetables rather than Fries, pasta, or fried foods. It’s only as impossible as you make it out to be. I didn’t make it to where I was saying that I couldn’t do it. “Keep saying you can’t and you never will.” Put in the effort and the results will follow.
